United Energy Trading (UET) is proud to announce the formation of UET Global, LLC.  Headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado.  This group will be focused on international opportunities for crude oil and refined products.  The first aframax shipment of crude oil headed to Belarus departed US waters this week.

PESCO’s other non-Florida retail operations and contracts were sold to United Energy Trading, LLC (UET)

DOVER, Del., Oct. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Chesapeake Utilities Corporation (Chesapeake Utilities) (NYSE: CPK) today announced that it is exiting the natural gas marketing business through the sale of the majority of the assets of Peninsula Energy Services Company, Inc. (PESCO), the Company’s natural gas marketing subsidiary. To date, the Company has executed three separate transactions to sell PESCO’s assets and contracts:

  • PESCO’s Florida retail operations will be sold to Gas South LLC.
  • PESCO’s other non-Florida retail operations and contracts were sold to United Energy Trading, LLC (UET).
  • PESCO’s Mid-Atlantic wholesale contracts and Chesapeake Utilities’ Delaware division, Maryland division and Sandpiper Energy Asset Management agreements were sold to NJR Energy Services Company (NJRES).

The Company expects to recognize a gain from the sale of the assets in 2019 upon the closing of the transactions. More information will be provided in the Company’s third quarter earnings press release and Form 10-Q report as well as subsequent filings.

“After performing a strategic review of the PESCO business unit, we determined that our efforts should be focused on the strategies that support our core energy delivery businesses. The level of investment in infrastructure required to achieve the scale needed for future growth meant that PESCO would not achieve the target returns we expect,” noted Jeff Householder, President and CEO of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. “As a result, we made the decision to exit this business, and have done so in a way that reduces future volatility in our earnings, recovers our investment and improves our earnings outlook going forward.”

UET continues support of LLS – Light The Night

United Energy Trading employees raised over $39,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2015 “Light the Night” walk in Denver, CO. The funds raised from the walk go directly towards treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients. UET has been involved in the “Night the Light” walk since 2005, and was the 4th largest fundraiser of all participants in 2015.

Third Party Gas Providers Bring Lower Utility Costs to Front Range Organizations

Businesses, City Governments and Schools See Significant Savings

(DENVER – March 7, 2017) As a direct result of deregulation of the energy industry, Colorado commercial and industrial organizations are benefiting from lower natural gas costs. An increasing number of Front Range organizations are taking advantage of greater choice and competition to realize energy savings of as much as 15%. Local gas provider United Energy Trading, LLC (UET) has nearly tripled the amount of natural gas distributed to Colorado businesses over the last three years and expects even greater growth in the next three years.

Denver Public Schools, with nearly 100,000 students and staff, began receiving natural gas from United Energy Trading in January. UET will provide for energy requirements at both schools and administrative facilities.
